Special Loan Rules
SJVLS encourages its members to make all materials that they would normally loan to their own borrowers available for requests by other SJVLS libraries. There are some restrictions set by local libraries on certain materials such as new titles and high demand items. Reference materials are generally not requestable and are loaned only by special arrangement between libraries. Contact your local library if you require a special loan. The local library will determine if the request can be accommodated.
The following table indicates each library's policy on interlibrary loans within SJVLS. Some formats are restricted when items are new. When that is the case, the restricted period is indicated, e.g. 6m = 6 months, 1y = 1 year.

Items in rotating and rental collections, regardless of format or category, usually cannot be requested. Fresno's "New and Now" items cannot be requested.
