News & Clues (ISSN 0730-1618) was an electronic newsletter published by the San Joaquin Valley Information Service that sought to promote reference resources, techniques, and cooperation between libraries and library staff. The newsletter served the interests of the San Joaquin Valley Library System and the Heartland Regional Library Network. News & Clues
ceased publication with the Spring 2011 issue.
The History of News & Clues
News & Clues was first published in July of 1960 and was published monthly thereafter until the middle of the 1990's, when it became a bimonthly publication. News & Clues changed from a print publication to an electronic publication with the spring 2001 issue. Issues between Spring 2001 and Summer 2002 were issued as web pages. Publication in various document formats was irregular between Fall 2002 and the final issue in 2011. PDF versions of issues are available back to 2001.
