Update on Service Disruption, 4/30/12

Some library locations have regained full access to the network, while others are still experiencing connectivity problems. SJVLS is aware of the ongoing problems and will have those resolved as soon as possible.
SJVLS offices are still without telephone service.

Submitted by metyckoson on Tue, 2012-04-24 09:00SJVLS will be moving equipment in our data center starting at 6AM on Monday, April 30th. All SJVLS libraries will be without all automated library systems and network-based services most of the day. This includes Horizon, ValleyCat and Telecirc, Internet access, databases, email, and websites (SJVLS, Coalinga-Huron, Fresno County, Kern County, Kings County, Madera County, and Tulare County website only) . The SJVLS Offices will be without telephones for a portion of the day.
Network issues
Submitted by metyckoson on Wed, 2012-04-11 10:54Due to a failure of a core server, many SJVLS services are currently unavailable. Affected at this time are DNS services for some users/services, shared network drives, some personal file directories and some login profiles.

EBSCO Auto Repair Reference Center is working again
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2012-03-27 10:58EBSCO Auto Repair Reference Center is working again. A representative from EBSCO Technical Support has notified me that the issue has been corrected and the A R R C interface should once again be fully functional.
SmartPay issues resolved
Submitted by metyckoson on Mon, 2012-03-26 15:32Starting at approximately 10:30 on Friday the 23rd, SmartPay developed a problem where it was accepting payments and clearing Horizon blocks, but not sending the charge through to the payment processor to charge the patron's card. That issue has been resolved, and the charges since Friday will be sent to the processor tonight.
