Sometime after 9:05 AM on Wednesday (2/12) the SmartPay server started having problems communicating with the vendor's servers to complete the payment transactions. It appears that it did the pre-authorization and cleared the fines, but that it was unable to complete the payment transaction. The vendor is looking into the problem. We beleive that we will be able to manually send through the failed payments, since the fines were in fact cleared.

The network issues at 3M have been resolved and the 3M Cloud Library is fully operational again.

The 3M Cloud Library of eBooks is unavailable at this time due to problems the vendor is having with their network. Users will get a 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' message if they try to access the site. 3M is working to resolve the problem.

Our vendor believes that the slow login screen issue with SmartPay has been resolved. Please have your JSA contact the System Office if problems continue.

The login page for the SmartPay online payment service is very slow to load – particularly in the afternoon - with wait times of 1+ minutes. However, once that screen does appear, the customer is able to login and submit their payment without further delay. This slowdown is affecting access from both inside and outside the library. We’re working to resolve this problem.

The patch has been applied to the SIP server that supports communication with the main library system for Telephone messaging, SmartPay, 3M Cloud Library and other library services. All these services are available again.
